Royal Ballet - back on stage

Jonathan Lo conducts the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in a gala performance by the Royal Ballet. This historic occasion marks the first return to stage since the COVID-19 pandemic, and includes works drawn from the company's rich repertoire, with works by choreographers such as Ashton, MacMillan, Wayne McGregor & Christopher Wheeldon.

Not only will the performance be live-streamed around the world, the Royal Opera House will also be opening its doors to a live audience for the first time since lockdown.

Jonathan conducts the Northern Ballet Sinfonia and Northern Ballet in a programme of ballet classics. This performance marks the first return to stage by the company, and will include iconic repertoire drawn from classics such as Swan Lake, Giselle, Corsaire & Sleeping Beauty.

Jonathan conducts the Northern Ballet Sinfonia and Northern Ballet in a performance of David Nixon's Dangerous Liaison. Performed cnocert style and set-less but with full costume, the ballet is set to Vivaldi's concertos, including movements from The Four Seasons.

Jonathan returns to the Royal Opera House for a series of performances with the Royal Ballet. Dancers drawn from across the company will perform a selection of excerpts from traditional and contemporary classics, and each evening will close with a celebrated one-act ballet.
